  Pipefitter's Local 597 is top notch. My father was a proud member for over 55 years and they take good care of their members. My dad never went without a paycheck and well into his retirement years Local 597 has kept their pension fund solvent.
  
  My dad raised his family comfortably being a pipefitter and my parents enjoyed a good solid retirement in their later years. My folks set up his pension plan so they'd contribute a few hundred each month extra so my mom will still receive his pension after his passing. My dad was proud to be a Local 597 Union member.
